Today I want to introduce you to two of the somewhat lesser know of Jesus disciples; James and Judas.                          Like just about all the other disciples they have a number of names or nicknames by which they are known.

Today we go to Galilee.  The region to the north of Judea lying mostly to the west of the Sea of Galilee.  Galilee – the land of the nations.  A rich agricultural area with a thriving trade in food and fish.

Galilee was the home of Simon and Andrew whom we have already met.  Jesus had given Simon the nick name of Peter the Rock.

It appears that the brothers Simon and Andrew had returned home from the Jordan Valley and their time with John the Baptiser and gone back to fishing, not hobby fishing but in family business fishing and on a fairly large scale.  Jesus had spoken at the local synagogue, drawn a fair crowd, saved a  bloke form demon possession and then healed bunch of other people that same evening.
